This is an interesting report by Weber Shandwick and KRC research on the power of employees in today’s social media economy. They explain how employees are mostly big fans of their companies and talk positively about them in social media. However, left unattended for too long, employees will take matters into their own hands. These stand-up-for-what-is-right campaigners may either be an employer’s best advocates or its worst opponents. In either case, they are change agents and companies need to listen to and engage them.
